Why I do
this work.
I knew I wanted to be a lawyer from the time I was in elementary school. My own family's path shaped that conviction. My parents immigrated to Canada, and I later immigrated to the United States, so the immigration process has never been an abstraction to me. It is something I have lived, and for the families I represent in immigration matters, that experience is part of what I bring to the work.
I started practicing law in 2015. Like most attorneys at the beginning of a career, I spent the first several years inside larger firms watching how the work actually got done. Most of what I saw was good. Some of what I saw was not. The piece that bothered me the most was the same thing that bothers most clients: people who needed a lawyer the most were getting the least amount of attention.
Families being walked through immigration cases like an assembly line. Injury victims passed from associate to associate, never quite sure who was actually handling their file. Phones routed to call centers. Cases triaged by dollar value before anyone had really listened to what happened.
In 2022, I started Meesha Moulton Law to do the opposite of that. Every case here is mine. Every decision runs through me. Every file gets the weight it deserves, because for the person sitting across from me, this is usually the hardest moment of their life. That is the standard I work to. And it is the only reason this practice exists.

Three things I believe
about this work.
The person comes before the file
Every case starts with a person walking in on the worst day they have had in a while. The legal questions matter. The strategy matters. But what happens between those things is a human being. Treat that part right and the rest of the work tends to follow.
Honest reads beat polished pitches
Some cases are stronger than others. Some claims are going to be a fight. You will not get sold a fantasy here. The right answer for the person across the table sometimes is that they do not have a case worth pursuing, and that is a thing they need to hear clearly and early.
Fast settlements are rarely fair settlements
Insurance carriers know which lawyers will accept the first offer. The cases that close here close when the number is right, not when the calendar is convenient. That patience is sometimes the only difference between a good outcome and a great one.

The work that
doesn't bill.
A practice is more than the cases that land on the desk. Outside the firm, Meesha spends time mentoring younger attorneys, contributing to community organizations across the Vegas Valley, and taking pro bono matters that align with the firm's values.
The personal stuff: a Las Vegas native by way of years spent elsewhere, with a soft spot for desert hiking, design, and the kind of long coffee that only happens when there is nothing on the calendar.
